Director Integration Architect
Short Profile
The Integration Lead Architect is responsible for the architecture of integrations for the ecommerce applications and driving and setting the technical vision so that business requirements are met. The ideal candidate has strong background and experience in integration and specifically with Mulesoft. Candidate must be able to work independently with minimal guidance and must have a lean and practical approach to process with the primary focus on getting things done. This person will interface with the business and counterparts in IT, to ensure successful execution of the development project. This person should be a thought leader in the EAI/ESB space, able to identify opportunities where technology and data management best practices can be implemented to drive business benefit. Must have experience in technology transformations and experience with transition state and future state architectures. Must demonstrate leadership as well as coaching and mentoring to other technical team members. Must be able to build organizational relationships in an open and friendly manner.

· Leading onsite & offsite Integration teams

· Ensure comprehensive non-functional requirements are gathered and documented.

· Setting development priorities & ensuring on-time delivery of requirements.

· Define and provide continuous improvement of Integration processes and procedures based on industry standards.

· Provide best practices for all aspects of the project lifecycle and deliver quality solutions that meet business requirements.

· Provide technical vision and subject matter expertise for integration technologies.

· Oversee solution architects in delivering reusable, extensible, and standardized solution across multiple projects.

· Coordinate activities with other internal and external organizations assigned to projects.

· Analyze the current IT portfolio to identify opportunities for improvements such as expanding capacity, reducing complexity, reducing time and cost, and increasing effectiveness.

· Develop conceptual and detailed architectural plans, and work with internal and external resources to drive the plans to completion.

· Evaluate and select technical solutions based on business requirements and standards.

· Research and present industry best practices to IT and business stakeholders at all levels.

· Gather and analyze performance measurement feedback through load testing, profiling, and log analysis.

· Guides application development personnel through a defined integration process resulting in a finalized system.

· Provide support to projects in understanding and negotiating requirements from multiple and diverse stakeholders.

· Collects, documents, and diagrams business system architectures and data flows.

· Ensure performance monitoring of the applications and recommend improvements as needed.

· Participate in requirements and design sessions as well as being responsible for the successful development of integrations.

· Perform with a strong sense of urgency and ability to meet deadlines.

· Develop and maintains project plans, status reports, risk and issue logs, budget/ongoing project forecast of resources and materials and other project related artifacts.

· Able to work in an agile environment to deliver programs while balancing time, cost and scope

· Responsible for analysis and translation of functional specifications into technical specifications.

· Ensure the availability, reliability and security of e-commerce sites

· Respond to business critical emergency situations related to support of the eCommerce platform



Qualifications



· BS, computer sciences or equivalent.

· 5-10+ years of experience with implementing service-oriented architecture (SOA) and enterprise application integration (EAI) using technologies like Mulesoft, Dell Boomi, webMethods, or TIBCO etc.

· Designs and develops using EAI/B2B solution on B2B tools and J2EE concepts.

· Designs and develops ESB/SOA/BPM middleware layers using tools like Mulesoft, ServiceMix, webMethods, TIBCO and J2EE concepts

· Documents design specifications, troubleshoots and testing.

· Actively involved with requirement understanding and analysis.

· Work closely with functional leads/PMs to understand the partner integration requirements.

· Suggests innovative solutions to business problems/ processes that leverage technology to provide marketing differentiation, performance improvements, and better user experiences.

· Interacts well with other technical team leaders such as architects, testing, analysts, and release managers as a lead member of the development team in order to accomplish the business goal.

· Knowledge and/or hands on experience on integration tools like Mulesoft, Dell Boomi preferred.

· Experienced in J2EE, Java Servlets, JMS, EJB, Design Patterns, Web services and building integration projects using any integration tool.

· Proficient in the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

· Solid hands-on experience in architecting and developing J2EE based web applications (JSP, Servlet, JDBC, JMS, JAXB)

· Strong experience in XML, XSD, XSLT, SOAP/REST and web services

· Solid understanding of the design patterns



· Ability to work in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment
